I recently your saw your Tiny Towers Italian Cypress in both a 15 gallon and a 25 gallon container at a local nursery. Can you please tell me how old these trees are for both sizes.

I am in the process of trying to locate 11 of the 15 gallon size, but may resort to the 25 gallon, since I have been able to locate 8 at various nurseries and only 1 of the 15 gallon size. Can you advise me on whether or not I should keep trying to locate the 15 gallon size. It seems as if the nurseries may only be allocated a certain number per season and once those are gone they are not able to get anymore--is that correct?? Unfortunately, two of the 25 gallon trees haven't been watered regularly and are also leaning in their containers (will I be able to straighten these at planting with staking?). I'm not excited about paying the high price for the 25 gallon trees when they are in rather mediocre condition.

Thank you very much....

It's true that nurseries purchase a certain number of plants each season and when they're gone, they're gone. If you contact one of the larger nurseries, such as Armstrong, with several retail outlets in the area, they may work with you to find the number of cypresses you want by networking with their other stores. I'd choose the healthiest plants available. Those that have been neglected may never rebound and then you'll be stuck with sickly plants which could be prone to disease problems later in life. Hope you can locate the plants!
