What types of spring vegetables can we plant? When is the best time to start them? |
You can grow lots of cool-season vegetables, beginning about the middle of March. Plant peas, lettuce, green beans, cabbage and carrots early in the season. You can plant warm season vegetable seeds like tomatoes and squash and corn about the first of May. They will appreciate the warmer soil temperatures and will germinate and grow quickly in the bright sunshine of late spring and summer. |
