I planted a new honeysuckle bush about 2 years ago. Is there a reason why it does not have an aroma that I smell anywhere else. Do I need to trim it or what can I do. It has beautiful blooms every year and doing great but no aroma. |
Many of the honeysuckles are not fragrant or only very slightly so. Depending on what type you planted, you may not notice any aroma at tall. Lonicera sempervirens for example, has no scent and while L. heckrotti is described as slightly fragrant, I have never noticed it having much of a scent. On the other hand, they are still wildly popular with wildlife and lovely to look at. |
