I have an Azalea that looks half dead, the back side is surviving well, but the front looks dead. What do I need to do to get the front to survive?

Unfortunately, based on the information in your question I am not certain what is happening to your plant. It might be a problem related to mechanical damage such as a broken branch, or to root damage, or to a pest, or to a disease. I would suggest you consult with your local county extension to obtain a firm diagnosis of the problem, and based on knowing that determine how to proceed. I'm sorry I can't be more specific for you.
