|We just planted two Monrovia ground cover roses. Followed instructions that came with plant. Now lower leaves are turning yellow. Is this to be expected?

|It's normal for plants to go through an adjustment period after being transplanted. Yellowing leaves are common; failure to open flower buds is another symptom. Once the roots of your ground cover roses establish themselves, the plants will make up for lost time by producing lots of healthy stems and leaves. In the meantime, be sure they're watered deeply once each week. Enjoy your new carpet roses!
