I have 4 boulder blue fescues I planted in mid may.

Watered extra water every 5-7 days. Looked good.

right now the seed stalks have turned brown. The bottom portion of the plant is still the nice blue. Do I need to get back to watering extra every 4-5 days? Will the blue color come back....or is this normal for the stalks??

The stalks are not brittle. They bend and return to shape, so thought they were hydrated enough. It gets sun half the day directly.

What you describe is quite normal for your fescues. If you don't like the appearance of the seed stalks you can cut them down to below the top of the foliage. Aside from that, you are giving your fescues proper care and they should continue to thrive. Enjoy!
