What type of soil would be best to use for bedding plants? |
Bedding plants in a garden plot would be most happy with soil that's full of organic material, which retains moisture and nutrients and yet drains well. Before planting, spread a 4-6 inch layer of compost, aged manure, peatmoss, or leaf mold on the soil surface and work it in 6-8 inches. Then plant your annuals and perennials and water them well. Be sure to give your plants about an inch of water per weeks all summer long. |
