| Saw your nursery on Melinda Myers Gardening show on evergreens. We have checked out your site and found Siberian Cypress. We have a partially shaded hillside bank on the north side of our home, humid conditions near Lake Michigan, clay soil. Would this plant thrive on our site? Would you have other suggestions? | Siberian cypress requires excellent drainage and prefers to grow in part to full shade in your gardening region. Planting on a hillside should ensure good drainage but I'd work in some organic matter prior to planting your new cypress, just to make sure. Best wishes with your landscape! |
