|I bought two Afterglow Winterberry bushes two years ago. Although they seem to thrive in other ways, the tiny green berries turn black and fall off in mid July. They receive plenty of watering, any other guesses as to why the berries turn black and fall off?
|The catch with winterberries is that, like hollies, there are separate male and female plants. Your Afterglow is a female and will reliably set fruit if you have a male in the vicinity. Jim Dandy is a good pollenizer for Afterglow.|
