I let a pumpkin left over from Halloween rot in my compost pile, and this spring, I had sprouts everywhere! I kept a good deal of them, and now (in July, too!!!!) have orange pumpkins. They are each 5 |
You can certainly eat them once they are ripe. Pumpkins grown for pie are usually sweeter varieties, so you may need to add extra sugar and depending on the flavor you may want to add a little extra spice to your pie as well. You can use pumpkin for most any winter squash recipe. Enjoy! |
