I planted a President Lincoln lilac spring of 05. It did not bloom in 05 or 06. When can I expect it to bloom? |
Lilacs can be reluctant to bloom if they get too much nitrogen fertilizer or not enough sunshine. If your President Lincoln is planted in full sunshine and you give it another year or two to establish, it should bloom well for you. I'm afraid patience is about the only thing you can apply to your lilac to make it bloom. As soon as it becomes fully established and fully mature, it will bloom for you. Enjoy! |
