Is there anyway a Royal Robe could survive in Zone seven. I really would love to put it in the garden. If not is there anything else like it that would work.
Thanks
Teesha

Unfortunately, no, there is no way Solanum rantonnetii 'Royal Robe' would survive the winter outdoors for you. You might be able to grow it as a container plant and bring it inside each winter. There is no really good substitute, but a blue flowered rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus) might be an approximation. I'm sorry I can't be more encouraging.
