I have a huge geranium that has been thriving since April. It sits in plenty of sun and I water it frequently. Recently the new leaves have begun coming in very light green and not developing the rich deep green color that the older leaves have?? Please help. Thank you, Heather Higby |
Sounds like your geranium needs some nitrogen fertilizer. If it is in a container, use a liquid fertilzer (according to label directions) for a quick green-up. If it is planted in the ground you can use the same liquid fertilizer, but you might want to check the soil pH. If the soil is too alkaline or acidic it can bind up nutrients and make them unavailable to plant roots. Geraniums will grow in a pH range of 5.8 to about 6.4. Best wishes with your geranium! |
