|I have two mature flax plants that were planted about 6 years ago and were doing well until this summer. For some reason, both plants
recently flopped over and are now laying across part of a pathway (I have a digital photo if you want me to e-mail it) and I'm not sure what to do. Should I dig a lot of this out of the ground now and let young shoots emerge from the remaining part to start over again?
|Yes, I think it is time to dig and divide your Phormium. Discard the oldest parts and allow the young shoots to begin all over again. It won't take long for them to grow into healthy and upright new plants. Enjoy!|
