I have a row of holly trees and would like plants and/or shrubs along its north side. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Since hollies prefer slightly acidic soils, you'll want to choose plants with similar preferences. How about planting red-osier dogwood (Cornus stolonifera), black chokeberry (Aronia melanocarpa), or blueberry (Vaccinium)? You might also consider camellias, which flower in white, red, or shades of pink.
