I have 27 feet that I want to do a screen of Viburnum Burkwoodii ' Mohawk' or Escallonia 'Fradesii'. Could you please tell me how many I would need and if you supply those somehwere here in Portland, Oregon. Thank you. Cory Graves |
Viburnum Burkwoodii 'Mohawk' grows 8' tall and 10' wide at maturity. You can plant these shrubs on 5' centers to create a dense hedge. (a total of 5 plants will fill your 27' long planting bed) Escallonia 'Fradesii' has a mounding growth habit reaching 5-6' tall and wide. You can plant these on 4' centers for a dense screening hedge. You'll need 7 escallonias. These are common shrubs and should be readily available in one of the following local nurseries: PORTLAND NURSERY #1 5050 S.E. STARK ST. PORTLAND, OR 97215 (503) 231-5050 DENNIS' 7 DEES #1 6025 S.E.
