|What are some interesting options for screeing a decoritve fence to create a semi-private look in our backyard.
Black Aluminum decorative fence. about 15' long need privacy.
|You have several options. One would be to grow a deciduous vine on the fence such as Clematis. This would provide screening during the summer months. You could plant deciduous shrubs or a small flowering tree in front of the fence. Or, you could plant evergreens. Your plant choice would depend on the growing conditions along the fence -- is it sunny or shady and at what time of day, whether the soil is wet, dry or average, how widy the location is, and how much space there is for the plants to mature. You might also want to try to integrate it into the rest of your landscape by repeating a plant you already have or following a certain style. Your local county extension and/or professionally trained nurseryman should be able to help you analyze the growing conditions along the fence and identify plants that would thrive there as well as meet your design goals. Good luck with your privacy screening!|
