|I bought a hardy hibiscus late this summer in a half gallon container. Is it too late to transplant it into the ground or should I transplant it into a larger container untill next year? And if a container, how do I store it through the winter? I live in zone 7a.
|Hardy hibiscus will grow outdoors in your gardening zone (it's hardy to zone 5) and fall is the best time to plant or transplant. Put your hibiscus in a sunny spot with fast draining soil and it should become established before really cold weather sets in. Expect it to lose its leaves over the winter months but develop new leaves in the springtime.
