You can grow evergreen huckleberries (Vaccinium ovatum) in zone 7. This huckleberry is native to the Pacific coastal region, from the Santa Barbara area of Southern California north to British Columbia. The plants grow in either sun or shade; 2-3' tall and wide in full sun; 8-10' tall and wide in shade.

Good luck with your edible garden!
