My husband and I planted three Monrovia Yultide Camellias in our front yard a year and a half ago. They are in well drained top soil with compost, in an area that gets partial sun and shade. There were blooms on the plants when we bought them. The shrubs are growing and getting new leaves, but buds, no flowers. What are we doing wrong???

It sounds as though you are doing everything right! Camellias can sometimes take 2-3 years to become established in their new homes before they're ready to produce flowers. New growth is a good sign. Continue to give your plants good care and they will eventually reward you with lots of flowers to enjoy.
