|I have a pink jasmine that I am thinking about planting in a container. How large of a container/pot should I use in order for it to thrive?|
|The general recommendation is that you move a plant up to the next sized nursery pot. If it's in a one-gallon pot now, move it to a 3-gallon, etc. There are exceptions to this rule: I have had good luck planting my pink jasmine in a half-whiskey barrel filled with a 50-50 mixture of garden soil and commercial potting soil. The garden soil provides weight, the potting soil ensures that everything drains quickly. The advantage here is that the plant spills over the side of the barrel and makes a soft, attractive mound.|
Best wishes with your pink jasmine!
