Do I cut off faded blooms? Should I cut the plant down in the fall? If so, how far? thanks

Yes, cut down the spent flower stalk. In warmer climates (Zones 7-11; 20?F and above), cut back to ground level in late Fall when plants start to fade, and leave in ground or containers for the winter months. New growth will emerge in the spring.
