I have four double knockroses planted near my foundation. Do you have a suggestion of what I can plant behind them? They are located about 4 feet from the side of my house. I was looking for something with height because the side of my house is a white vinyl siding. I appreciate any suggestions thanks you.

I'd go with evergreen azaleas, because they flower early in the season, just before roses begin their display. Or, consider Japanese andromeda (Pieris japonica), fragrant snowball viburnum, and Burning bush (Euonymus alatus 'Compacta'). Perennials include a selection of daylilies (there are all sorts of sizes and colors), purple cone flower, lavender, perennial salvia, tall garden phlox, coreopsis. Any combination of annuals will add extra color, especially for the first few seasons when the perennials are getting established.

Best wishes with your lovely landscape!
