| I think you probably have the Campsis radicans variety named "Flava." This vine needs full sun all day long and just average soil to grow well; it can reach 20 feet or more in size so needs a very sturdy support. Do not prune it now, wait until spring. Cut it back quite hard or as needed to control its size at that time. Do not prune it during the growing season as it blooms on new growth of the season. It is very winter hardy, the only protection would be some organic mulch over the root area. |
