Orange leaves on lorapedlum - Knowledgebase Question

I just planted a lorapedlum (sizzling pink) 2 weeks ago. About 1/3 of the leaves have started turning orange. Is this normal for lorapedlum to turn orange in the fall or is my shrub dying?

Since your Loropetalum was only recently planted, I suspect the color change is due to transplant stress. These leaves will drop, but should be replaced with healthy new leaves once the roots become established. Loropetalum can be semi-deciduous in cold weather (lose some, but not all of its leaves) and color change is one of the indications that those particular leaves will drop.
