Shipping Trees to California - Knowledgebase Question

I understand that you can not ship the Choctaw crape myrtle tree to California. What crape myrtle varieties grown by your nursery can I find in California? I really wanted the Choctaw.

There is currently a suspension in shipping some species of crape myrtle because of the establishment of Homalodisca coagulata (glassy-winged sharpshooter) in your growing region. As a rule, Crape Myrtle trees do wonderfully in the inland valleys, however they are vulnerable to mildew near the coast. With this in mind, you'll want to choose the most mildew resistant species you can find. I'd suggest visiting one of the following local nurseries to see what they have in stock:
