Planted two Monrovia ground cover roses in summer. One still has some blooms and leaves. Leaves off other one. One with the roses losing leaves now. Is this to be expected? |
Ground cover roses are among the hardiest and easiest to grow. You won't need to prune them back and they should bloom nearly all year around in your climate. Expect them to lose leaves - they will be replaced with healthy new leaves. If rainfall is sparse this fall and winter remember to soak them deeply once each week to keep them healthy through the winter months. Next spring they will grow by leaps and bounds. Enjoy! |
