Tulip bulbs usually rest during the fall and winter months, sprouting in the spring after the weather has warmed. Sometimes a tulip bulb will sprout in the fall but then suspend growth when the weather gets cold; growth resumes in the spring when the weather warms. Hope this answers your question!
