controling size of juniperus chinensis blue point - Knowledgebase Question

although the size of the blue point gets to be 12'x 8'.can i keep it through pruning at about 6' tall.

In the long run it is not practical to try to keep a large shrub at half its normal size by pruning. It creates an ongoing maintenance issue and also ruins the natural form or shape of the plant. In my experience it would be better to select a cultivar that matures to the size you have the space for. Your local professionally trained and certified nureryman should be able to suggest substitutes.
