I live in Texas, Zone 8B. I have planted many mounds of Pink Pampas Grass, now 4 years old 3' tall. Do I need to cut them back in the late winter??? There is always some green on them, would cutting back help promote them getting bushier faster or should I just let nature take it's course?????

They should be cut back once a year, yes. Do it between late fall and late winter. If you don't they begin to look shabby.
