What would you suggest using for foundation plants around the home?

There are many different plants you could use. Your selection will depend on the growing conditions where you are planting (amount of sun or shade and at what time of day, the soil type, whether it is extra wet, dry or average in that spot, if it is windy, and so on) along with the size of the area you are planting and the style of planting you prefer. Your specific plant choices would also reflect your budget and your personal taste as to which plants you actually like the look of. I would suggest you work with your local professionally trained and certified nurseryman to analyze the planting conditions along your foundation and identify plants that would thrive there and fit into the area when they mature, then select the ones you like best from those. To help them advise you, you might take a long a photo of that side of your house and a rough sketch showing the length and width of the planting area and the height of any windows on that wall. Good luck with your project!
