We moved to California from Ohio almost 4 years ago. Our grape vine gave us fruit during our second year here. Last year it appeared to be dead. What did we do wrong ? Thanks , Jane Strong |
Don't give up on your grapevine yet. It is normal for the leaves to fall in the wintertime and for the vines to look woody and dried out, but as long as the roots are healthy and getting adequate water, new growth should appear once the weather warms up. Prune your grapevine back by about 2/3rds and wait for warm weather. You should see new growth then. Best wishes with your grapevine! |
