I have numerous violet plants sitting on a window sill. All of them are getting a white dust on the flowers. What is causing this and how can I cure it? Thanks!

It's difficult to diagnose a plant problem without actually seeing the plant. If the spots are only on the flowers and not on the leaves, it could be a newly developing fungal infection or newly arrived insect problem. The flowers typically do not produce pollen, but perhaps that's what you're seeing. At this point I would simply wait and watch. If you begin seeing the problem spread to the foliage, Pinch off the flower and the affected leaf. In any case, cut or pinch off the flower just as it is spent (don't allow the petals to wither and drop off onto the plant). Best wishes with your plants!
