How do I keep the cats out of my flower garden |
Cats can be such a nuisance in the flower bed. There are several approaches to dealing with them. One is to ask the owner to keep the cat inside; it is safer for the cat to be inside where it is protected from cars, dogs, ticks and fleas. If that is not possible, you can try using a different mulch to see if that helps. Sometimes they are attracted to newly laid mulch or to a certain mulch material but will ignore others. Sometimes they will ignore mulch once it has been thoroughly soaked by rain or a heavy watering so it packs down. Another thing to try is spreading thorny branches on the soil surface to make walking more difficult for them. Some gardeners report success using a motion sensor activated sprinkler. I hope this gives you some ideas. |
