Pea Gravel - Knowledgebase Question

We just picked up a truck load of pea gravel that someone was giving away for free a week or so after they bought it and was not happy with it for whatever reason, and as we were shoveling and loading it into our truck, we noticed quite a bit or cat feces. Is pea gravel a place where cats like to do their business because it is small like kitty litter? If so, is there something we can spray on the gravel to minimize a cats attraction to it? If it is a place were neighborhood cats frequently use the batroom we might just get rid of it before we lay it down in our front flower bed. PLEASE HELP!

Pea gravel doesn't usually attract cats - except very desperate ones with nowhere else to relieve themselves. Now that you've moved the gravel to a new place, you shouldn't have problems with cats, especially if you remove whatever feces you find before you spread it out in your yard. After you've spread the gravel you can hose it down just to rinse any remaining urine from the surface. I don't think you'll have any more problems with it.
