|Every leaf on my rose bush is covered with holes. After closely inspecting the plant, I found small green worm/catepillar-looking insects. It appears they are the culprits. What are they and what can I do?

|Without seeing the pest, it's difficult to know what you're dealing. I suspect that the culprits are rose slugs (sawfly larvae). I've had several infestations. The best thing to do is squish them the moment you see them and not let them chomp one more bite, but if you're queasy about doing that, squirt them with insecticidal soap like Safer.
