|I am writing on behalf of my mother who lives 50 miles south of Nashville, TN where it is very hot and humid in the summer. She wants to know what plants would be good hearty plants to plant in her flower pots that will survive the direct sun and the hot and humid temperatures.

|Your mother might look into the tropical hibiscus, mandevilla, dipladenia, and sun coleus plants for her containers. These do well in "tropical" summer conditions like yours.
