|Itrimmed an Iceberg Rose tree all the way to the trunk, planning to remove it altogether. A week later it has sprouts on it. It is maybe 30 years old and always has blackspot. Is it worth waiting to see if it comes back healthier?

|I'd be curious to see how it performs. Black spot can be a terrible disease to try to control; some roses are more susceptible than others. Because you've pruned away practically all of the old wood (which could harbor the disease) you may have cured the rose! I'd wait and see. If it goes back to its old habits, you can always dig it up and be done with it. Hope it grows strong and healthy!
