Dose the live oak tree drop the leaves during winter ? |
Live oaks do not generally drop very much of their canopy of foliage in winter. However in spring with the arrival of new growth they do tend to shed the old leaves. The amount of leaf loss depends on the genetics of the tree and growing conditions. Some trees go almost completely leafless during spring transition while others seem to stay almost evergreen through the process. Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
