|Our peach and plum trees are in full blossom and we are schedule to get snow on Friday. How can we protect them? Is there a methond of covering them with out breaking the branches? Please help.
|The most commonly practiced method of protecting fruit tree blossoms from frost is overhead sprinkling. The idea is to allow the water to form a protective coating over the buds and blossoms. I've also heard of gardeners stringing Christmas tree lights in their fruit trees. The lights give off just enough heat to keep the blossoms from freezing solid.
Hope you're able to protect your fruit tree blossoms!
