|After the recent freeze in Georgia I've noticed that some of my hydrangeas and roses sustained some freeze damage on their tips. When should I prune the plants back to the remaining healthy foliage? We are still experiencing some 30's & 40's at night so I am not sure if the time is right.
Thanks for the advice.
|Your plants should recover as soon as the temperatures warm up. Don't be in a hurry to prune off the damaged plant parts - if you prune now, there could still be another late frost and you'll have to prune again. Wait until the plants begin growing and you're sure the weather will remain warm.
Best wishes with your garden!
