We had several frost/freeze after the spring leaves have come out on some trees and shrubs. They are now all brown and dead looking. Will they NOT bloom this year? Will these trees have no leaves this year?

This spring has been so difficult for plants. The good news is most should survive and eventually releaf. If the flowers had begun to open or the flower buds had swelled much before the frost, they will have been damaged. So, you may not see blooms on some this year. At this point, it is mostly a wait and see thing, be very patient as they may take quite a long time to rebuild the strength to send out new foliage.
