|When should I prune or shape my loropetalum chinense? I planted them last year and they are 3 ft tall now. I want to shape them for a hedge?
I live in so. atlanta, Ga
|Loropetalum usually blooms from late winter through spring and then sporadically through the summer. You can prune in early summer (June) to coax the plants into a hedge shape. Waiting until early summer means you can enjoy their blooms as long as possible. After pruning they probably won't bloom for a month or two.
Best wishes with your landscape!
