|I moved into an older home with a lush trailing rose bush. It produced some blooms once a few years ago and hasn't bloomed since. Gets lots of sun and I have fed it twice a season. What gives?|
|Feeding might not be the best course of action for your trailing rose. Too much nitrogen can result in lots of lush, green growth, at the expense of blooms. Since it gets plenty of sunshine, it should bloom. Your rose blooms on new wood so pruning it back just a bit will encourage healthy new flowering shoots. Hold off on the fertilizer this year and I think you'll see a big difference in its behavior.
