I am a first time gardener. Do you have suggestions on a book to help me get started? Are perennials the plants you should never have to replant?

Here's my favorite book on perennials:
The Well-Tended Perennial Garden: Planting & Pruning Techniques
by Tracy Disabato Aust

Perennials are plants that usually live for 3 or more years. I think you'll find all kinds of information in the above book.
