Because of their potential size, Elephant Ears plants are typically grown outdoors. The foliage of this evergreen perennial is quite dramatic. Leaves are arrow-shaped, 12 to 16 inches long, olive green with a metallic sheen. However, you can grow it indoors in a large pot. It is tropical in nature so prefers temperatures above 65 degrees Fahrenheit, lots of humidity and lots of water in the spring and summer; but only light watering in the winter. Provide a bright spot (direct sunshine is okay a few hours a day) and turn the plant periodically so it doesn't lean toward the light source.

Enjoy your new plant!
