|When is the right time to start my flower seeds in the house, and plant them outside?|
|Generally seeds are started in February and March for planting outdoors in April or May. Depending upon the types of seeds you have, they may take 7-14 days to germinate, and should grow 4-6 weeks indoors before being transplanted into the garden when the air and soil temperatures warm up a bit.
It's safe to say the whole process can take from 6-10 weeks. Check your seed packets to see whether the plants should go out before or after your last frost, then count back the number of weeks, add about 10 days for germination, and that should give you a ballpark date for seed starting.
