| Most shrubs bloom for only a week or two each year. For repeat blooming shrubs you might try potentilla, landscape roses such as the KnockOut or Carefree series, and the small, summer blooming spireas. For season-long foliage color you could consider the red or gold barberries. If you truly want all season flowers, your best bet is annuals such as marigolds, petunias, salvia, and so on.
