I am new to gardening, and I am starting many different types of seeds. Should I have them in a nice shady cool area, or do they need some sun. And if they do how much?
Thank you!

Most seeds do not need light to germinate. The seeds you cover with soil will sprout in a nice shady area. The seeds you sow on the surface of the soil without covering can grow either in full sun or in a brightly lit location. Check the seed package to see which kinds of seeds you have. If you covered them lightly with soil after planting them, set them in a shady area.
