I have a problem weed that I cannot identify. It is clumps of grass that grow in small circles in patches. The best way i can describe it is like a thick, dark green narrow leafed grass. I my whole lawn were that green, I would be doing great. I've been told it is dallis grass, but the pictures I've seen all have the seed pods. I've never seen any seed pods on this. Any ideas or suggestions on getting rid of it?

Matt,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

I can't identify it based on that description. I suggest you contact your County Extension Office and see about bringing in a sample of the grassy weed or even photos of the plants to see if they can identify them for you. Depending on the type of grass you may be able to find a spray that prevents or kills it without damaging your turfgrass.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
